1901 Irish Census Returns for Spring Farm
The building return (form B1) for Kilquade shows William Vines and family to be living on Spring Farm estate.
Spring Farm was owned (and he resided in House 1) by William Joseph Corbett a prominent MP and friend of Charles Stewart Parnell (who also stayed at Spring Farm).
On 1 Dec 1909 Corbett died. His probate went through in January 1909 and everything went to a Thomas M. Corbett, Medical Doctor, Dublin. Spring Farm is sold to a Richard Hudson. In the 1911 census 7 of the 16 houses on the estate are uninhabited. The only family to remain since 1901 is the Price family- although they appear to have moved from House 3 to House 4 - William Vines old home.
