The cause of death is given as "auricular fibrillation 10 days and syncope" - an irregular heartbeat and loss of consciousness.

Samuel Henderson died at home in the Downs on 17 Jan 1892. He was preceded by his wife but his daughter Mary was with him at the end.

The cause of death is listed as "cancer of the stomach | two months | asthenia* | Certified"

*Asthenia: Generally physical weakness, lack of strength, lack of energy. Sometimes a symptom in and of itself, other times indicative of a larger problem - in this case stomach cancer.

The register page notes that Thomas was one of three Snugborough babies to die of coup in a little over a week (this is a relatively small rural area).

Four months after their death Maggie registers the birth, and death, of her twins. One baby survived for five hours, the other boy fought for 24 hours. The registrar notes the boys were premature.
