Wicklow Gaol - Quarterly Return of Prisoners (Quarter Ending June 1881)

William Henderson was found drunk on the street in Rathdrum on 7th June 1881, In the Rathdrum Courthouse he was fined five shillings and one shilling costs or in default he would spend 48 hours in Wicklow Gaol. He defaulted.

This document is a register of prisoners, crimes, dates, meals, etc.

This document is a follow up to the Wicklow Gaol Quarterly Return - In that document we see who is committed, when, why, etc. This document keeps score of defaulted fines and costs - We can see that William never paid the fine from June 1881.

William makes an appearance on the prison register. There is limited information, that and the lack of a court case would indicate William failed to pay one of his (many) court fines.
