70 Sarah is buried in the chancel of St Peter's Church. The tombstone reads:

Beneath this stone are deposited the remains
of Sarah Burslem,
wife of the Rev. James Burslem, rector of Cadeby.
She was daughter of Fowler Oldershaw, gent,
She was an obedient wife, a tender mother,
a benevolent neighbour, a sincere friend;
pious and devout, polite and charitable.
Her departure was on Oct 28, 1776,
in the 54th year of her age.
The love which in her dear Redeemer shone,
By humble active faith she made her own:
Still at his feast an ever ready guest,
She lov'd, ador'd him, and his mercies blest;
And now amid the heavenly flock reciev'd,
Enjoys those raptures which she once believ'd"

Oldershaw, Sarah (I411)
