Wicklow bride sat through her wedding breakfast at the Glen Mohir Inn unaware that her father died shortly after the marriage ceremony in Rathdrum Parish church. The bride, Miss Geraldine Doyle, Ballintombay, Rathdrum, who worked as a receptionist to a Dublin doctor, married Mr. William Vines of Newtownmountkennedy. Her father, Mr. James Doyle, a farmer, did not feel well enough to attend the ceremony and he died at home shortly after the members of the family had returned from the church. The honeymoon was cancelled. |
